The ignition coil is an extremely important component of the entire engine ignition system. This solution is used in gasoline engines with spark ignition. In fact, the mechanism consists of two coils: primary and secondary. In the middle there is a core on which the copper wires of both coils are wound. The wires are properly insulated and secured so that they do not come into contact with each other. Otherwise, the entire ignition system would short-circuit and fail. How does the ignition coil mechanism work?

The ignition coil

A magnetic field is generated when the circuit is closed. The coil produces an induced voltage. Upon ignition, the magnetic field is interrupted and a high inductive voltage is generated. The voltage jump takes place at the spark plug, which allows the current to flow freely. The fuel-air mixture is ignited by the flashover spark. In other words, the fuel combustion processes needed to run the vehicle are activated.

In older car models, the ignition coil is susceptible to numerous damage with age. One of the symptoms of a system's deterioration may be problems with starting the engine. The ignition coils should be checked from time to time to replace this component in time. In the event of a sudden breakdown, the car is of course immobilized and the engine loses its ability to continue working. In such a situation, repairing the ignition coil is virtually impossible or is pointless due to the very high cost. A better solution is to buy a used item.

In the "Ignition Coil" category below, there are proven used parts from well-known manufacturers such as: Bosch, Denso, Valeo or Delphi. A wide selection allows you to choose the ignition coil used for many car models. Of course, all parts have been thoroughly checked for functionality. You get a boot warranty when you buy it. Attractive prices are a big advantage, as they will allow you to repair the ignition system in a cheaper way.

IGNICION COIL

The ignition coil is a vital component within the engine ignition system. It is specifically utilized in gasoline engines with spark ignition. This mechanism comprises two coils: the primary coil and the secondary coil. Positioned in the middle is a core around which the copper wires of both coils are wound. The wires are meticulously insulated and secured to prevent any contact between them. Without this insulation, the entire ignition system would short-circuit and fail. So, how does the ignition coil mechanism actually work?

When the circuit is closed, a magnetic field is generated, resulting in an induced voltage within the coil. During ignition, the magnetic field is interrupted, leading to the generation of a high inductive voltage. This voltage surge occurs at the spark plug, enabling the free flow of current. The spark produced by the voltage jump ignites the fuel-air mixture, initiating the combustion processes necessary to power the vehicle.

The ignition coil

In older car models, the ignition coil is prone to various issues due to aging. Difficulties in starting the engine can be an indication of a deteriorating ignition system. It is important to periodically check the condition of the ignition coils and replace them in a timely manner. In the event of a sudden breakdown, the vehicle may become immobilized as the engine loses its ability to continue running. Repairing the ignition coil under such circumstances is often impractical or prohibitively expensive. In these cases, opting for a used ignition coil is a more practical solution.

In the "Ignition Coil" category, you can find reliable used parts from well-known manufacturers such as Bosch, Denso, Valeo, or Delphi. The wide selection available allows you to choose the appropriate ignition coil for many car models. All parts have undergone thorough functionality checks, and a warranty is provided with the purchase. The attractive prices offered for these used ignition coils are a significant advantage, providing a more affordable option for repairing the ignition system.

By opting for a used ignition coil from reputable manufacturers, you can effectively restore the functionality of your vehicle's ignition system at a reduced cost. Regular inspection and maintenance of the ignition coil will contribute to the smooth operation of the engine, ensuring reliable starting and optimal performance.
