ABS pump and control module BMW

Looking for a replacement for a faulty ABS pump for the BMW? We offer a used, working unit with electronics in good condition.

Numbers to compare

  • 3451-6852886-01 - part number (OEM)
  • 6852887 - part number (OEM)
  • 10092908493 - ABS control module number (ATE)

Application according to the listing

  • BMW - model
  • ATE - manufacturer

How an ABS pump with control module works

The control module receives signals from the wheel speed sensors and compares them. When one wheel slows down faster than the others, it controls the valves in the hydraulic block to prevent it from locking.

Matching

We also offer other pumps for this model with different numbers. Choose by the number on the module, not by the model alone. The electronics and the hydraulic block are matched to each other, so we treat the listing as a set that should be compared with the original by its numbers.

Symptoms of a faulty ABS pump

  • the pump motor does not start,
  • an unusual noise can be heard when braking,
  • brake fluid leaks from the hydraulic unit,
  • the brake pedal is hard or sinks.

Before buying, make sure the cause is not the power supply or the wiring loom, and only then replace the module.

Questions and answers

What does “used, working” mean?
We sell it as a used part, in working order and in good condition; this information is also given in the listing features.
Where can I find the number on the module?
You will usually find the numbers on the label or housing of the module, visible after removing it from the car. If you cannot read them, send us a photo.
Can I fit a pump from a different equipment version?
We do not assume so. Modules differ in functions (ABS, ESP, ASR) and software, so compare the numbers and the version of your car.

Not sure? Write to contact@auto24parts.com and we will help you choose the right ABS pump for your car.

  • How to Check the Operation of a Transmission Control Module - Symptoms

A faulty transmission control module (TCM) most often causes limp mode with the gearbox stuck in one gear, harsh jolts when you select D or R, erratic gear changes, flashing PRND letters and a gearbox or engine warning light. However, the same symptoms are often caused by a low gearbox oil level, a weak battery, a poor earth or a faulty sensor. To test a transmission control module, start by checking the battery and reading the fault codes with a diagnostic tool that can talk to the gearbox control unit, then check the power supply, the connector, the oil and the live data. Below we explain the symptoms, the diagnostic steps and what the most common fault codes mean.
