ABS pumps, ABS control units and complete hydraulic modules for selected Daihatsu models, technically tested and prepared for installation in the vehicle.
Daihatsu ABS Pump: Choosing by Part Number
Auto24Parts offers used original ABS pumps and ABS control units for Daihatsu vehicles. These are hydraulic modules with electronics, inspected and tested before sale.
The most common signs of a fault are an ABS warning light that stays on, an ABS system that no longer works, irregular brake pedal behaviour or fault codes stored in the control unit memory. Before buying a part, it is worth reading the fault codes, as similar symptoms can also be caused by wheel speed sensors and their wiring.
When choosing a part, the most important thing is the complete part number from the hydraulic block and from the label on the control unit, not just the make or model of the car. If you are unsure, send us a photo of the original pump and all the numbers on its label and we will help you check compatibility.

Daihatsu ABS Pump: Hydraulic Module and ABS Control Unit
An ABS pump, also called an ABS module, ABS unit or ABS modulator, is a hydraulic block with valves and a pump motor, with an electronic control unit attached to it. On Daihatsu models, as with other makes, such a module is usually sold and replaced as one complete unit.
The ABS module works together with the wheel speed sensors. When one of the wheels starts to lock during braking, the control unit reduces the brake pressure at that wheel, and the pump and valves restore grip. A fault is indicated by a warning light on the dashboard.
Most common symptoms of a faulty ABS pump or control unit
- the ABS warning light comes on and does not go out after the engine is started,
- the ABS system stops working, although basic braking usually remains functional,
- the brake pedal feels uneven or pulses for no obvious reason,
- fault codes stored in the control unit memory point to the module or the valves,
- the pump motor sounds unusual when braking or after the car is started.
An ABS fault should not be ignored. The car may still brake, but without protection against wheel lock-up, especially on wet or slippery roads.
ABS pump or wheel speed sensor? Where to start
An ABS warning light does not always mean a faulty pump. A similar symptom can be caused by a wheel speed sensor, its wiring, the reluctor ring, low battery voltage or a blown fuse. That is why it is worth reading the fault codes with a diagnostic scanner first. Replacing the module makes sense when the fault code points to the pump itself, the valves or the control unit.
How to choose an ABS pump for a Daihatsu by part number
The make and model of the car are not enough. A single model can have different versions of the module, depending on the year of manufacture, equipment level and market. That is why we match the part using the numbers on the labels:
- the number stamped on the aluminium hydraulic block, for example 44510-97201 or 89540-B2190,
- the manufacturer's number stamped on the block, for example Bosch 0 265 231 961,
- the label on the control unit with its own code, for example DHT-2WD-7226-1.
The hydraulic block and the control unit may carry separate numbers, so check both when comparing. Pay attention to the final digits and letters of the number as well, as they often indicate the version of the part. Our range includes modules from different manufacturers, including Bosch and Sumitomo Electric.
Examples of Daihatsu ABS modules from our range
Our range changes regularly, so the items below are only examples. You can see the full list of available modules in this category.
- Daihatsu Mira, 2006, 1.0 engine, control unit with the code DHT-2WD-7226-1,
- Daihatsu Sirion M1, 1998-2005, number 44510-97201,
- Daihatsu, Bosch 0 265 231 961, number 89540-B2190.
Are any additional steps needed after replacing an ABS module?
On some cars, the fault codes need to be cleared and the wheel speed sensor readings checked after replacement. If the brake lines are disconnected during fitting, the brake system must be bled. Fitting and diagnostics are best left to a garage with a suitable scanner, as this involves the brakes.
Used original ABS module: condition and inspection
We sell used original ABS modules, not new parts. Each item is inspected and tested before sale. The product photos show the appearance of the block, the numbers and the labels, which you can compare with the numbers on your own module.

FAQ: Daihatsu ABS Pump
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Are the ABS pump and the ABS control unit the same part? | In our range they come as one module: a hydraulic block with the pump and valves, with the control unit attached to it. The two parts carry separate numbers, so check both when choosing. |
| Where can I find the part number? | The numbers are stamped on the aluminium hydraulic block, and the control unit has a label with a code. Take a photo of both places, ideally close up and in good light. |
| Are the make and model of the car enough to choose the right part? | No. A single model can have different versions of the module, depending on the year and equipment level. The most reliable reference is the number on the original pump. |
| Can I send a photo so you can check compatibility? | Yes. Contact Auto24Parts and send a photo of the original pump showing the numbers, and we will help you check whether the module will fit. |
