Go to full description

Engine control unit Suzuki Denso 33920-72K1 MB112500-8272

The Denso module 33920-72K1 controls the engine – it reads sensor data and uses it to regulate the fuel system. It is a part for Suzuki vehicles. Confirm the exact model and engine using the numbers on the label – the vehicle type alone is not enough. The label shows the following markings: E1, M13 MTA EU 07MY, 33920-72K1, 072K1, MB112500-8272. The marking “M13 MTA EU 07MY” on the label indicates the version with the M13 engine for the European market.

Numbers on the label

  • 33920-72K1 – Suzuki part number
  • MB112500-8272 – Denso number
  • 072K1 – additional marking

Compare them with the sticker on the ECU in your car. The number decides the fit, not the model alone – Suzuki used different ECU versions.

Typical fault symptoms

  • the engine will not start despite a good power and fuel supply,
  • no communication with the ECU during diagnostics,
  • limp mode with no sensor fault,
  • damage after water ingress or a voltage spike.

Before replacing the ECU, check the power supply, earths and wiring loom – a damaged wire or connector can cause similar symptoms.

Locked or unlocked?

There are two variants: locked, with the previous vehicle’s data and immobiliser, for garages, and unlocked, which we prepare before dispatch.

We agree the preparation method case by case – it depends on the software version and the immobiliser. Ask us about it before ordering the 33920-72K1 ECU.

All variants are described on our Locked & Unlocked ECUs page.

Frequently asked questions

Is MB112500-8272 the same ECU as 33920-72K1?
Yes. Both numbers appear on the label of the same ECU.
Can I fit an ECU with a different number suffix?

What details should I send before ordering?
All the numbers from the label of your current ECU, or a clear photo of it. Based on that, we will check the fit and the possible variants.

  • How to Check the Operation of a Transmission Control Module - Symptoms

A faulty transmission control module (TCM) most often causes limp mode with the gearbox stuck in one gear, harsh jolts when you select D or R, erratic gear changes, flashing PRND letters and a gearbox or engine warning light. However, the same symptoms are often caused by a low gearbox oil level, a weak battery, a poor earth or a faulty sensor. To test a transmission control module, start by checking the battery and reading the fault codes with a diagnostic tool that can talk to the gearbox control unit, then check the power supply, the connector, the oil and the live data. Below we explain the symptoms, the diagnostic steps and what the most common fault codes mean.
