How to match Chevrolet engine control units by part number
The engine control unit (ECU) manages injection, ignition and the throttle based on sensor signals. That is why a replacement is chosen by the numbers on its label: the electronics manufacturer's number and the Chevrolet OEM number. The car model and engine size alone are not enough, because one model can come with several ECU versions.
Numbers and markings of Chevrolet control units
On the label of Chevrolet ECUs you will find the electronics manufacturer's number and the OEM number. Compare both with the numbers in the listing. The Bosch number 0281014296 is sometimes written as 0 281 014 296, so search both ways.
