A suspension control module processes data from the sensors and controls the suspension components, for example ride height or damping adjustment in cars that have this feature. When it fails, suspension warnings may appear on the dashboard and the car no longer responds to a change of mode or height.

When replacing the module makes sense
A faulty module is indicated by a suspension warning, no height adjustment, the car sinking and no communication with the module during diagnostics. Before you buy the part, rule out the power supply, wiring, sensors, compressor and valves, because their faults cause similar symptoms. In many cars coding or adaptation with a diagnostic tool is needed after replacement.
