The controller manages the pressure produced by the master cylinder; the pressure increases when the brake pedal is pressed. The modulator distributes it to the individual wheels so that the car reduces the speed.
The gearbox control unit is a component that ensures proper operation of the gearbox; it is responsible for oil distribution, proper regulation of gear changes. The gearbox controller is based on a number of sensors located in various parts of the vehicle. This ensures that the gears are changed at the right moment.
Each new car consists of many sensors, and many components are controlled in real time; data are collected and then sent to the engine controller. It is a module that supervises the operation of the engine, especially the revolutions; it receives information about the temperature, exhaust composition, and additionally controls such solutions as ARS or ESP. An important task of the engine controller is to supervise the mixture burned in the engine chamber.
