Mazda engine ECU: number, engine, year
When replacing an ECU on Mazda cars, the numbers on the housing matter most. A similar case or the same car model does not guarantee compatibility, so compare the full numbers and the control unit family marking.
Numbers and markings of Mazda control units
Mazda control unit numbers usually consist of the electronics manufacturer's number and the OEM number. Enter both in the shop search or send us a photo of the label. Enter the number from the label once without spaces and once with spaces or hyphens, as both notations are in use.

Frequently asked questions
| Is the car model enough to choose an ECU? | No. One model can have several control unit versions depending on engine, power and year. The numbers on the label are what counts. |
|---|---|
| How do I find the right engine control unit for Mazda cars by part number? | Copy the numbers from the ECU label: the electronics manufacturer's number (for example Bosch) and the OEM number. Enter them in the shop search or send us a photo of the label. |
| Is the manufacturer number the same as the OEM number? | No. They are two different numbers on one control unit: the electronics manufacturer's number (for example Bosch) and the car brand's OEM number. Both help to match the part. |
