Peugeot ABS Pumps – Complete ABS / ESP Units

Peugeot ABS Pump: Choosing by Part Number

At Auto24Parts you will find used original ABS pumps with control units for Peugeot cars, including the 206 and 307 models, as well as modules described in our listings as shared by Peugeot, Citroën, Opel and Fiat. These are hydraulic modules with ABS system electronics, inspected and tested before sale.

Customers most often look for a module when the ABS warning light comes on, the system does not work when braking on a slippery surface, or the control unit has stored a valve or pump motor fault. Before buying a part, read the fault codes, as wheel speed sensors and their wiring can cause similar symptoms.

What matters when choosing is the complete part number from the listing, for example an original number in the form 9646828780 or 9836178080, not just the model and year. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the original pump and the numbers on its label and we will help you check compatibility.

Peugeot ABS Pump: Hydraulic Module with ABS Control Unit

An ABS pump in a Peugeot is an aluminium hydraulic block with valves and a pump motor, together with a control unit that reads the signals from the wheel speed sensors. On many models the same module also handles the stability control system, so a fault sometimes shows up as more than just the ABS warning light. The module is usually sold and replaced as a single unit.

Our range includes more than thirty used original modules. Among them you will find original numbers beginning with 96 or 98, as well as Bosch (0 265 ... and 0 273 ...) and ATE (10.02..., 10.09...) numbers. The range changes regularly, so the items below are only examples.

Peugeot 206 ABS Pump

For the 206 model our range includes, among others, ATE modules:

Peugeot 307 ABS Pump

For the 307 model our range includes, among others, Bosch modules:

Peugeot ABS pump: Bosch modules with no model stated

Most of the listings do not state the car model. The Bosch modules in our range include, among others:

Peugeot ABS pump: ATE modules with no model stated

Our range includes, among others, the following ATE modules with no model stated:

Modules shared by Peugeot, Citroën, Opel and Fiat

Individual listings describe a module as shared by several brands, for example:

The listings do not always state the model and year of the car, so compatibility depends on the number from the original pump.

How to choose an ABS pump for a Peugeot by part number

Model and year are not enough, because the same model comes with different versions of the module, depending on the engine, drive and equipment level. In our range you will find several kinds of numbers:

  • the original number, a ten-digit number beginning with 96 or 98, for example 9646828780 or 9836178080,
  • the manufacturer's number for the hydraulic block, for example Bosch 0 265 2xx xxx or ATE 10.02xx-xxxx.x,
  • the control unit number, for example Bosch 0 265 8xx xxx, 0 265 9xx xxx or 0 273 004 xxx, or ATE 10.09xx-xxxx.x,
  • an additional number from the listing, for example 5WK84108.

Compare all the numbers with the original pump in your car and, if in doubt, write to us before buying.

Symptoms of a faulty ABS pump or control unit

  • the ABS warning light comes on after the engine is started and does not go out,
  • the ABS stops working, although basic braking usually remains functional,
  • the brake pedal pulses or feels uneven for no obvious reason,
  • the control unit stores valve, pump motor or communication faults,
  • brake fluid leaks from the hydraulic block, which requires immediate action.

Before deciding on a replacement, check the wheel speed sensors, their wiring and the supply voltage. After replacing the module, the fault codes usually need to be cleared, and after disconnecting the brake lines the system must be bled. On some models the module also needs adaptation in the control unit, so installation is best left to a workshop with a suitable diagnostic scanner.

Used original ABS module: condition and inspection

We sell used original ABS modules, not new parts. Every item is inspected and tested before sale, and the product photos show the look of the block, the numbers and the labels, so you can compare them with your own pump.

FAQ: Peugeot ABS Pump

Which Peugeot models do you have ABS pumps for?
Our range includes modules for the 206 and 307 models, modules described as shared by Peugeot, Citroën, Opel and Fiat, and many modules where the model is not stated. The listings do not always state the year, so always confirm compatibility with the number from the original pump.
How can I recognise a Peugeot number on an ABS pump?
Original Peugeot numbers in our range have ten digits and begin with 96 or 98, for example 9646828780. Alongside them we give the Bosch and ATE manufacturer numbers.
Are the model and year of the car enough to choose the right part?
No. The same model comes with different versions of the module. The most reliable reference is the number on the original pump.
Can I send a photo so you can check compatibility?
Yes. Contact Auto24Parts and send a photo of the numbers on the original pump, and we will help you check whether the module will fit.
