Volkswagen ABS Pumps – Complete ABS / ESP Units
Volkswagen ABS Pump: Choosing by Part Number
At Auto24Parts you will find used original ABS pumps with control units for Volkswagen cars, including the Tiguan and Crafter models, as well as modules described in our listings as shared by Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, Audi and Ford Galaxy. Our range also includes a few refurbished modules and one new module. These are hydraulic modules with ABS system electronics, inspected before sale.
Customers most often look for a module when the ABS warning light comes on, the system does not work when braking on a slippery surface, or the control unit has stored a valve or pump motor fault. Before buying a part, read the fault codes, as wheel speed sensors and their wiring can cause similar symptoms.
What matters when choosing is the complete part number from the listing, for example an original number in the form 1K0614517BE or 5N0614109BN, not just the model and year. If you are not sure, send us a photo of the original pump and the numbers on its label and we will help you check compatibility.

Volkswagen ABS Pump: Hydraulic Module with ABS Control Unit
An ABS pump in a Volkswagen is an aluminium hydraulic block with valves and a pump motor, together with a control unit that reads the signals from the wheel speed sensors. On many models the same module also handles the stability control system, so a fault sometimes shows up as more than just the ABS warning light. The module is usually sold and replaced as a single unit.
Our range includes almost fifty modules: most are used original ones, a few are refurbished and one is new. Among them you will find original numbers containing 614 and 907379, as well as Bosch (0 265 ... and 0 273 ...) and ATE (10.02..., 10.09...) numbers. The range changes regularly, so the items below are only examples.

Refurbished modules and a new module

- Refurbished Volkswagen ABS pump, number 1K0614517BE,
- Refurbished Volkswagen Seat Skoda ABS pump, number 1K0907379AD,
- Refurbished Volkswagen Seat Skoda ABS pump, number 1K0907379AN,
- New Volkswagen ABS pump, number 3Q0614517H.
The listings do not always state the model and year of the car, so compatibility depends on the number from the original pump.
How to choose an ABS pump for a Volkswagen by part number
Model and year are not enough, because the same model comes with different versions of the module, depending on the engine, drive and equipment level. In our range you will find several kinds of numbers:
- the original pump number, which in our range contains 614, for example 5N0614109BN or 1K0614517BE,
- the original control unit number, containing 907379, for example 1K0907379AE or 7M3907379J,
- the manufacturer's number for the hydraulic block, if one is given in the listing, for example Bosch 0 265 2xx xxx or ATE 10.02xx-xxxx.x,
- the manufacturer's number for the control unit, for example Bosch 0 265 9xx xxx or ATE 10.09xx-xxxx.x.
Compare all the numbers with the original pump in your car and, if in doubt, write to us before buying.
Symptoms of a faulty ABS pump or control unit
- the ABS warning light comes on after the engine is started and does not go out,
- the ABS stops working, although basic braking usually remains functional,
- the brake pedal pulses or feels uneven for no obvious reason,
- the control unit stores valve, pump motor or communication faults,
- brake fluid leaks from the hydraulic block, which requires immediate action.
Before deciding on a replacement, check the wheel speed sensors, their wiring and the supply voltage. After replacing the module, the fault codes usually need to be cleared, and after disconnecting the brake lines the system must be bled. On some models the module also needs adaptation in the control unit, so installation is best left to a workshop with a suitable diagnostic scanner.
ABS module condition: used, refurbished or new
Most of the listings are for used original ABS modules, a few are for refurbished modules and one is for a new module. We give the condition of the specific item in the listing name and description. Used and refurbished modules are inspected before sale, and the product photos show the look of the block, the numbers and the labels, so you can compare them with your own pump.
